Ultrasounds & Pregnancy Testing

Ultrasound creates pictures of the internal organs of the body from sound waves. It is used to help find possible problems or to check a medical condition. During pregnancy, it can be used to examine the fetus. Academy Women’s Healthcare Associates has one of the few AIUM certified Ultrasound units in Colorado Springs.

Academy Women’s Healthcare Associates also offers full service lab evaluation for pregnancy testing. Often home pregnancy tests will give the patient a false positive ( you really are not pregnant) or a false negative (you really are pregnant). We will always be willing to obtain stat labs with blood work to help patients during these dilemmas and give you the answer the same day.
