Free Menopause Seminar Benefits Community

On Saturday, January 16, Academy Women's Healthcare hosted a free seminar on the latest advances in menopausal care. The event was held at the Julie Penrose Health Education and Research Center in the NorthCare building. Doctors Lawrence O'Connell and Meredith Cassidy, from Academy Women's Healthcare, presented the latest in medical practices and news from leading-edge menopausal research. Over 35 women attended and received valuable information regarding life-changing innovations that could greatly effect their future health.

This well received seminar was split into three segments:

• An Introduction to Menopause
• Heart and Bone Health
• Going Natural—traditional and alternative hormone therapy
