Endometrial Ablation
Endometrial ablation is when he lining of the uterus— or the endometrium—is shed by bleeding each month during your menses. Some women have heavy bleeding or bleeding that lasts longer than normal. For them, endometrial ablation may be a good treatment option. This procedure treats the lining of the uterus to control or stop bleeding. It does not involve removal of the uterus and it does not affect a woman’s hormone levels. Recovery is typically one day and can be done in the office.
